Welcome to SwimBo'ness.com and Bo'ness Amateur Swimming Club

Bo'ness Amateur Swimming Club would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to our new website. BASC promote swimming for all ages and abilities, and offer a number of training sessions during the week.

Bo'ness ASC is essentially a competitive swimming club. Our main aim is to develop young swimmers into good quality competitive swimmers who enjoy a challenge and seek to achieve their potential in the sport.

Although competitive swimming is our priority, it is not our only consideration. The Club also welcomes those swimmers who simply wish to remain fit and healthy through regular swimming, or those who are not yet ready to experience the benefits of competitive swimming and training.

Over the past few years, Bo'ness ASC has produced some of the country's top age group swimmers who have won medals at District and National Championship level. In 1998, a Club member was selected to become a member of the National Squad.

Swimmers are placed in squads which reflect their commitment, ability, attendance and ambition. These squads have structured training sessions each week.

The club operates within the Bo'ness Recreation Centre where it has access to an 6 lane 25m swimming pool and at Bo'ness Academy . The club also owns a significant amount of coaching equipment ranging from kick boards to bio-monitoring and video equipment.

Bo'ness ASC is formally constituted with an active Committee elected annually at the AGM. The Committee administers and runs the Club's affairs on behalf of the membership in line with the constitution. All decisions made by the committee are made with the benefit and progression of the Club and its swimmers in mind.
